Víctor Diz, Jazz musician from Minas Gerais, releases his first single: “Macondo”, a journey through the melodies and rhythms of America Latin.

"Macondo" is the first single by Víctor Diz, a Brazilian artist and musician (Belo Horizonte - MG). The song was selected by Spotify's curatorship in the "Brazilian Jazz" category.

It is an authorial (instrumental) composition with the participation of musicians and performers from all over the world: Víctor Diz (Brazil), Luca Longoni (Italy) and Taras Kuznetkov (Ukraine) - Piano; Daniele Delfino (Italy) - Drums; Guido Gavazza (Argentina) - Bandoneon; Miladin Stojkovic (Serbia) - Double Bass; Artem Koryapim (Russia) - Trumpet and Trombone; Alex Fink (USA) - Alto Saxophone; Víctor Diz (Brazil) - Electric Guitar; Vítor Siqueira (Brazil) - Mixing and Mastering.

The work reflects many aspects of American (continent) music: jazz, tango and Afro-Cuban - mostly. Some of the main references of the work are: Maestro Moacir Santos, Letieres Leite, Astor Piazzolla and Esperanza Spalding.

But the search for an instrumental identity from Minas Gerais (and Belo Horizonte) is very strong. Víctor Diz, 21 years old, is from Belo Horizonte (Minas Gerais - Brazil), works mainly as a composer, arranger, guitarist and guitarist; also works in the areas of writing and drawing/painting.

He has studied music since he was a child, first self-taught and later with qualified teachers. He is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Popular Music and Composition from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG).

He is part of the coordination and musical production team of Estúdio Gunga, located at the Associação de Educação e Cultura Flor do Cascalho (Morro das Pedras, BH-MG) and artistic director of Coletivo O Trem - whose motto is to provide musicians and artists from street the opportunity to record professionally.

He has worked and contributed with several people, such as: Mestre Conga, Mestre João Angoleiro (precursor of Capoeira Angola in Belo Horizonte), Jorge Bonfá (grandnephew of Luiz Bonfá), Delano, Rick Silva, Haroldo Bontempo, Eric Lamb (winner of the Goethe Prize), among others.

Víctor Diz works best on Bossa nova, Brazilian Music, Classical music, Experimental jazz, Jazz fusion, Hip-hop, Instrumental, Latin music, Modern jazz, Neoclassical, Singer songwriter Authentic, Contemporary, Creative, Experimental, Fusion, Melodic, Upbeat, Available on Spotify, Composer, Early project, Unsigned artist, Upcoming project, Young talents.
