Peter Lake is a New York City-based singer-songwriter who revels in anonymity. His musical influences include Curtis Mayfield, Motown, Billie Eilish, and Rüfüs Du Sol.

Therefore, it’s no surprise that he has not stuck to one genre, dabbling in rock, pop, indie, and house. Lake’s philosophy of music making is that by combining genres, the range of song creation has increased. A song that successfully incorporates and connects the positive aspects of different musical styles has the potential to be more universally appealing than any song in history.

It was Spring Break at his university and instead of going back to Canada, he stayed in New Haven to study. The whole school was quiet because of the holiday. He kept seeing this group of cooler older students at the library. Eventually, we sort of talked. They loved surfing.

There was this girl in the group he had never seen before. Her name was Zoey. She had flowers in her eyes and he was convinced he was in love, but he was too nervous to say anything. Then a few days after we socialized in the Library the group invited him to come with them on a surfing road trip down the Baja coast of Mexico.

Peter Lake works best on Alternative rock, Dance music, Dance pop, Electronic rock, Electro-pop, Indie pop, Indie rock, Pop rock, Synth-pop, & Techno.
