James the Prophet and Pab the Kid are two high school friends with a common passion for music. James, born in France to English and American parents, started composing his first songs at the age of 15.

James the Prophet and Pab the Kid, originally from Lille but who spent most of their life abroad (China, Japan, India, Germany...), started making music when they met James in 2018. Together, they spent their high school years focused on creating songs, which allowed them to gain some notoriety and begin developing their own fan bases.

Their careers have always been intrinsically linked despite their opposite temperaments; James is wise, calm, and collected, while Pab is energetic and playful. With his hip-hop background, James introduced Pab to artists such as Smino, Saba, Isaiah Rashad, and Mac Miller, giving him a solid foundation to grow and develop his own sound.

Together they share everything from live shows to studio sessions, always appearing next to each other. When James was invited to open for Yasiin Bey (Mos Def), it was obvious that they would share the experience together. After years of working together, they came up with the idea of creating a duo, alongside their respective solo careers. Many demos followed, leading to a first full-fledged project.

Musical love at first sight over lunch, a perfect match between funky/disco groove and old-school hip-hop in the French Touch spirit. Yes, this ambitious collaboration between rappers James The Prophet, Pab The Kid, and producer Jean Tonique makes you drool with reason. Daft Punk-like talk-box, sharp flow, melody, and catchy composition on the menu. "Last Chance" is the promise of a dancing back-to-school season and an Indian summer that we hope will never end.

James The Prophet & Pab the Kid works around Dance-pop, Funk, Hip-hop, Urban pop Catchy, Creative, Energetic, Good vibes, & Groovy.
